Bruce M. Blume

Bruce Blume, a Seattle based attorney, received the John Carroll Award in ceremonies held at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center, Seattle, WA, on April 14, 2018.
The awards release on Mr. Blume noted the following: "Blume graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Washington. He attended Georgetown Law, where he made the Dean's List and served on the student editorial board of The Tax Lawyer. Blume worked for Senator Warren Magnuson (D-WA), an experience through which he met his wife, Ann. He clerked for a federal judge in Seattle, then served as an associate attorney for a major law firm before moving into real estate in 1982.
Blume serves on the Board of Directors of the University of Washington Foundation, the Board of Visitors of Georgetown Law, the Henry Art Gallery Advisory Council, and the boards of the Seattle Art Museum and the Seattle Parks Foundation."
Fran Buckley

Fran Buckley, a Raleigh, NC based consultant and civic leader, received the John Carroll Award in ceremonies held at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center, Seattle, WA, on April 14, 2018.
The awards release on Ms. Buckley noted the following: "Fran Buckley, a graduate of the School of Nursing & Health Studies, has consistently advanced the mission and values of Georgetown University. After Georgetown, Buckley worked as a midwife volunteer in Liberia, West Africa, before completing her MBA at Loyola University of Chicago. She has held positions as a labor and delivery nurse, as a consultant with Arthur Andersen and Laventhal & Horvath, as a trustee for Ravenscroft School, and as a community volunteer with many organizations including the Red Cross and the Junior League.
Active with NHS, Buckley served on the Board of Visitors, the Board of Advisors, and the Parents Council. She provided council on the expansion of the school; established two NHS scholarships and a fund to support professional development; and supported technology updates and renovations in St. Mary's Hall.
Buckley has also served on Georgetown's Board of Regents for 12 years on the following committees: student affairs, athletics, global learning initiatives, and the Kennedy Institute of Ethics. She helped to conceptualize and fund the Conversations in Bioethics Series, and supports the Georgetown Scholarship Program, Alumni Admissions Program, John Carroll Weekend, and Class Ambassador programs."
Steven P. Buffone

Steve Buffone, a New York-based business consultant, received the John Carroll Award in ceremonies held at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center, Seattle, WA, on April 14, 2018.
The awards release on Mr. Buffone noted the following: "He is a cum laude graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service as well as Cornell and Stanford Law Schools. Buffone worked at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP from 1984 until his retirement in 2017, after which he became a legal and business consultant.
Buffone has received the Cornerstone Award from the Lawyers Alliance of New York, the Outstanding Citizen Award from Do Something, and the Points of Light Award from the Points of Light Foundation. He served as chairman of the board of Do Something for 12 years and continues his 25-year service on that board. He is on the Board of Directors of Crisis Text Line, Echoing Green, and Blink Now.
A life member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Buffone is the chairman of the Board of Advisors of the School of Foreign Service and serves on Georgetown's Board of Regents. He is a former member of the Georgetown Capital Campaign executive council, Georgetown's Board of Governors, Stanford Law School's Board of Visitors, and the Sister City Commission of the City of New York."
Kevin P. Clark

Kevin Clark, a Washington-based attorney, received the John Carroll Award in ceremonies held at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center, Seattle, WA, on April 14, 2018.
The awards release on Mr. Clark noted the following: "As an undergraduate and law student, he served on the Student Corp's Board of Directors; as chairman of the Student Activities Commission; as a three-time student senator; as co-chair of the Senior Class Gift Fund; as a resident assistant, assistant resident director, and resident director in the dorms; and as a part-time employee and volunteer for the Alumni Association.
Since graduating, Clark has held positions on the Board of Regents and its executive committee, the Alumni Board of Governors, the National Law Alumni Board, the Parent's Leadership Council, and the Hoya Gateway executive committee. He has chaired most of his class reunions; leads his area Alumni Admissions Program committee; frequently hosts receptions for accepted students; mentors and financially supports the Georgetown Scholarship Program; and is a 46-year season ticket holder for Hoya basketball.
He and his wife, Nancy Ripp Clark, M.D. (C'77, M'81), recipient of the William Gaston Alumni Award and Founders Alumni Award, have endowed four scholarships at the undergraduate, law, and medical schools."
Adelaida Delgado Palm

Adelaida ("Addie") Delgado Palm, a London-based banking executive, received the John Carroll Award in ceremonies held at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center, Seattle, WA, on April 14, 2018.
The awards release on Ms. Palm noted the following: "(Addie) is an international businesswoman who has exhibited leadership in the Georgetown alumni community for 20 years. Born in Cuba and raised in the United States, Palm entered Georgetown at age 16. Upon graduating from the McDonough School of Business in 1980, she worked for Chase Manhattan Bank, followed by Citibank's International Private Banking Group. She then leveraged these relationships to sell prime New York real estate for The Corcoran Group, where she ranked among the top four producers.
After moving to the United Kingdom, Palm helped re-launch the Alumni Club of the United Kingdom in 2005 and has co-chaired it ever since. In 2013, she co-chaired John Carroll Weekend London, organizing 140 activities for 1,400 alumni. With the Middle Eastern and European campaign committees, Palm co-organized Georgetown's partnership launch event with King's College in 2016. Recently, she was a key leader in starting the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security. Palm has served on Georgetown's Board of Regents, the executive committee of the City Alliance, and the Board of Advisors for the Jan Karski Educational Foundation."
Ann Beth Stebbins

Ann Beth Stebbins, a New York-based attorney, received the John Carroll Award in ceremonies held at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center, Seattle, WA, on April 14, 2018.
The awards release on Ms. Stebbins noted the following: "After graduating with a bachelor's in economics and government, Stebbins continued her education at the NYU Stern School of Business, where she earned an MBA in 1991. After earning her J.D. at Georgetown Law, she joined the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where she has worked ever since. As partner for Skadden's Mergers & Acquisition group, Stebbins worked in Washington, D.C., Hong Kong, and London before returning to New York in 2005. She serves on the firm's diversity committee, hiring committee, and women's initiative.
Stebbins chaired the Law Alumni Board for six years; serves on the Law Center Board of Visitors; and is an adjunct professor for the law school. She is active in the Alumni Interview Program and has hosted numerous receptions for admitted students and alumni. Stebbins is a member of the University Board of Regents, where she chairs the law center affairs committee. She is active in the Georgetown Scholarship Program, she is a class ambassador, and she co-chaired the fundraising committee for her class's 25th reunion.
